I have a history of successfully managing, organizing and assisting businesses and individuals including establishing and running my own businesses.

This background inspired me to start my own business at the age of nineteen. My first endeavor led me to California in the fall of 1990 where I built a business from the ground up within the talent industry. Having no prior experience with this type of enterprise, I set my focus on gaining knowledge on all aspects of the industry in order to achieve my goals. This diligence quickly paid off and I soon found myself running a profitable business for the next 9 years which involved everything from talent recruitment and management, to film and video production services. During this period of time, I became very familiar with wearing many hats. For example, I offered representation and promotion of talent; including arrangement of bookings and appearances, handling fan clubs, newsletters and web sites. In addition, I supplied production preparation and coordination services such as budgeting, scheduling, casting of talent and crew, art direction and production management. My company continued to grow and my services expanded to fit the needs of the industry. After 9 successful years, although it was a very difficult decision, I decided it was necessary to return home to my native state of Colorado to be with family.

So, I approached my new Colorado adventure with a fresh perspective and turned my attention towards Property Management. Almost immediately I was informed that this particular industry required a minimum of 2 years’ experience to land the job I was seeking. I felt deeply determined to achieve my goal sooner than that. So, with dedication and persistence, within 3 months, I was able to secure my first position managing and operating a 50-unit apartment complex. Within another 2 months, I was offered a promotion to Exclusive Property Manager and Staff Supervisor of a 110-unit apartment complex. This line of work enhanced my ability to listen and to understand someone’s unique and individual needs. It allowed me the opportunity to work with diversified cultures and to connect with a large community of good people. However, this job also required me to evict people from their homes along with disposing of their personal belongings. I found this task to be incredibly heart wrenching, regardless of their situation. Therefore, after a seven-month stint, I finally admitted to myself that I could never fully be at peace performing this job.

This brings us to the summer of 2000 which is when I started my current business as a Virtual Assistant. Although back then, the title, ‘Virtual Assistant’ didn’t exist yet so I advertised my business as ‘Specializing in Diversified Project Management’. Naturally, since then, I’ve been equipped with an up-to-date, fully functional and private in-home office. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a great variety of people in various walks of life along with several businesses throughout many different industries. It is this extended experience that has allowed me to broaden my knowledge and enhance my capabilities. I emphasize my strength in learning new industries and I take pride in being extremely thorough with my work. My motivation behind creating this company ‘HOLLY MAY WEST’ is to assist people in achieving their goals in a fair, timely and cost effective manner. Since 2000, I have remained committed to this process and I am confident I can simplify your life by providing you with a trusted and reliable, non-employee staffing solution.
